Rob Wolborsky, a member of the Navy’s Acquisition Professional Community, was selected as PMW 160’s Program Manager in January 2005. Mr. Wolborsky is responsible for tactical C4I systems to include Network Services and Transport, Network Systems, Crypto and Key Management and Network Management and Security. He leads the Navy’s Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES) effort, a transformational initiative to implement a common computing environment and service oriented architecture afloat.

Mr. Wolborsky began his federal service as an Electrical Power Distribution Engineer. After six months, he transferred to the Naval Electronics Systems Command as a Radio Frequency (RF) and Super High Frequency Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Engineer. For his next assignment, Mr. Wolborsky transferred to the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) as Commercial SATCOM Lead Engineer in the Joint Maritime Communications Systems Program Office (JMCOMS / PMW 176).

Mr. Wolborsky was selected as the Submarine Communications Program Office (PMW 173) Deputy Program Manager in June 2000. In this position he led development and deployment of an array of communications systems for the submarine community, culminating in a 100 percent Internet Protocol capable submarine force.
Mr. Wolborsky is a graduate of California State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering.
