Martin is responsible for Red Hat's Consulting Practice with various Federal agency's to include the Army and Air Force, as well as State, Local and Educational institutions. While not working directly with his consultants, clients and system integrators, In this role, he continues to develops client driven  solutions that provide his customers with a scalable and cost effective platforms.
Prior to joining Red Hat, Martin managed a global IT group for a fortune 100 telecommunications engineering company.  His responsibilities included global datacenter migrations, transitioning from Legacy Unix to Linux platforms and the  integration of engineering resources through company acquisitions.  Prior to that, Martin was part of the initial development team to build, and deploy SMS for Verizon, AT&T et al.  Martin spent 12 years on active duty in the US Army's Long Range Surveillance units, and later served in the Maryland National Guard.  Recently returning from Iraq, he has been deployed on numerous occasions to include, Panama, Liberia, Iraq, Bosnia and Afghanistan. He enjoys his weekends spending time with his Daughter, and trying to stay fit.
