Tennessee's Experience with LEADR: OSS Law Enforcement Information Sharing System
The effort underway at Tennessee Fusion Center involves implementing a Intelligence Production and Management System, the Fusion System. The system will bring diverse information types and sources together through information collection methods and federated search technology. A key component of that system is the Law Enforcement Automated Data Replicator or LEADR product. The product is open source and available from Nation Institute of Justice via the National Law Enforcement and Corrections Technology Center.This presentation will look at the system development strategy, the current status of the LEADR implementation and some lessons learned from the use of Open Source software.
