A Modern Approach to Systems Management & Compliance
Traditional systems management solutions are not keeping pace with the the current demands for speed, flexibility and transparency. We will show you how model-driven automation and configuration management frameworks, such as Puppet, can be used to implement NIST/STIG security compliance. Puppet enables administrators to combine the auditing and remediation aspects of security compliance into one tool while working as part of a larger network-wide configuration management strategy.
This approach can be applied to short-lived cloud instance as well as long-running workhorses, or even desktop machines. We will include examples of how enterprise and government organizations are using these open source systems management frameworks to handle today's demanding infrastructure requirements.
